Understanding the Adoption Process

"Nica" now "Zola" - Adopted on June 23, 2012
Once you have made your connection, the next step is to complete an application.
Meet and Greets for you and your family, including your pets, can be arranged and are recommended.
Our goal is to find each animal a safe, loving and lifelong home. All applications are carefully screened by
The Animal Protection League Adoption Team.
Successful adoptions depend on making the best human/animal connection. The application questionnaire is designed to not only avoid placing an animal in an unsafe home, but to protect the potential adopter. Some applicants will make great pet owners, however may be a better lifestyle fit for another homeless animal. Our Adoption Team will help you to make the best choice! Email us at adopt@inapl.org.
Adoption Fees
Cats/Kittens $85 Dogs/Puppies $100
Vaccinations, a general health exam, heartworm or feline luekemia test, dewormer and microchip are included. Each adopted animal will be spayed or neutered.
FIDO Prison Dogs $150

We are so thankful for each potential adopter who expresses interest for a homeless animal in need. Completing an application however, does not guarantee an approved adoption. Our priority will always be the health and safety of our animals and the people we serve.
The Animal Protection League reserves the right to deny any applicants. No profit is generated from the adoption fee.
Online application submissions are the most efficient and timely way to make sure that we receive your information. Applications may also be printed and completed by hand.
